The Challenge:

To prove that we are different to the 3 previous SEO companies Newton Plumbing had used, who tried to deliver results and failed. We were given a unique challenge: get NewtonPlumbing.com ranking on Page 1 of Google for the terms “los angeles plumber” and “los angeles plumbers” within 1 month. The site was ranking on Page 3 when we started. Keep in mind that plumbing is a very competitive industry, especially in a big city like Los Angeles. Please also keep in mind that this was a unique challenge! We do not make a habit of promising rankings within 30 days.

The Strategy:

Search Engine Optimization – a full audit and optimization of the newtonplumbing.com website, including setting of all meta tags, titles, headings, and providing optimized content. This was then followed with an aggressive backlinking campaign, to give the site “popularity” and send it up the rankings.

A call tracking number was also installed into the Newton Plumbing website, so that phone calls that originated from a Google search could be tracked to see the true ROI.

The Results:

It was a close call, but Page 1 rankings were achieved for both keywords on the 30th day of the campaign! From there, the campaign continued, targeting more valuable keyword searches and pushing rankings as high as possible. The SEO campaign continues to this very day, and the results below speak for themselves (check the rankings yourself!).

Google Rankings

Newton Plumbing is now the #1 Los Angeles Plumber, as well as top rankings for a large number of other popular searches on Google.

The Challenge:

Drive the online sales of tickets to 2 major Super Bowl events in Dallas, with combined capacity of 10,000 people. The campaign was to operate within a very tight timeframe – starting in November, and competing with over 100 other major events for the same weekend in February. The Capital A Entertainment party had top headline acts such as the Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta and P.Diddy – but they needed the world to know this.

The Strategy:

A combination of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Google AdWords PPC, and Facebook Advertising.

SEO does not bring instant results, so getting started immediately was very important. Having top Google rankings during the lead-up to Super Bowl could attract a large amount of organic traffic and ticket sales. The website was comprehensively optimized, followed by an aggressive link-building campaign.

Facebook Advertising was used to generate social awareness of the events, targeting the demographic of people that would be most interested in the events: people in and around Dallas, nationwide football fans in general, particularly the remaining teams as the playoffs progressed. Fans of the Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta and P.Diddy were also targeted.

Another advantage of Facebook Advertising is that it uses images to attract attention – meaning that approved images of the celebrity headline acts could be used to full advantage.

Finally, a Google AdWords campaign was created to give the capitalaent.com website instant exposure. The budget for this campaign was steadily increased in the lead-up to Super Bowl, to match the customer demand and hype around the Super Bowl.

The Results:

Over 73,000 hits in 3 months – and despite the events having headline acts such as P.Diddy, The Black Eyed Peas and David Guetta – 77% of the website hits were generated by TrafficZoom’s SEO, PPC and Facebook Advertising, not from other marketing or media sources.
